Dogs are forbidden inside the bird reserve.
On the shore of the Bassin d'Arcachon, Le Teich Bird Reserve, recognized as being of international importance, is a natural and unique space, built to accommodate wild birds and enable their observation.
120 hectares of forest, reedbeds, meadows, salt marshes and lagoons spread to the shores of the Bassin d'Arcachon. This diversity of habitats induces the presence of a large number of species that use this site permanently (sedentary birds) or temporary (migratory).
317 species can be contacted and 80 nest on site. Many formulas for visiting groups and individuals are available. Equipped with a pair of binoculars (which one you can rent at the park ticket) you will see these residents while walking. Obviously the best visit is made in silence, not to frighten the birds!
The Birds Reserve is open for visits 365 days a year with 3 trails, suitable for every visitor.:
